Everybody has an awkward picture (or ten) hidden away in a closet or forgotten computer file. Inspired by the previous post about awkward moments, I decided to dig up my most awkward photographs. Take, for example, the above photo. I had the opportunity of meeting Mayor Bloomberg of New York City, after playing Irish music at his home on St. Patrick’s Day. My photo op, though, was a massive fail. It appears that I rejected the handshake of the most powerful man in the Big Apple, resulting in the most awkward, and only, picture I’ve ever had with a famous person. Unfortunately, this is just one of many of my awkward pictures.

I’ve found some seriously awkward photos from multiple stages of my life, from age 7 through high school and college, that still make me giggle. I found it mildly concerning that the majority of these were found on Facebook, but I’m way too lazy to go though my pictures and tag the unflattering ones. If you get a chance, I recommend looking through past photos to get some glimpses of your former self. It’s very entertaining! I’ve added some of my favorite awkward photos to the gallery below. Maybe you’ll find them just as funny as I do!
