Some people (myself included) automatically assume that most cosmetics used by celebrities cost more than an average person’s entire makeup collection. It makes sense, right? They have the money to spend on hundred-dollar bottles of body lotion and fifty-dollar face powders, while most of us do not. You may not realize, though, that celebs hit the drugstore cosmetics aisle just as often as we do – and some of their favorite products are actually extremely affordable!
I have to admit, it’s pretty exciting to know that I don’t have to make a stop at the Nordstrom makeup counter in order to find high-quality cosmetics. Many popular drugstore brands, such as Revlon and Covergirl, offer long-lasting, beautiful products that won’t leave a hole in your wallet. Leighton Meester, for example, loves Covergirl Lipstains, as shown in the above photo. When a millionaire celebrity, who can afford just about anything, swears by a lip color that I could find at CVS, I know I definitely won’t regret my purchase! Take a look at some more celebrity drugstore favorites in the gallery below, and maybe keep the list for future reference. I know I will!
Do any of you Lovelies already use any of these products? What are some of your favorite drugstore cosmetics?

Really? just b/c a celebrity uses it, suddenly it becomes OK. I don’t see the point in paying more money for a product that has the exact same ingredients as a cheaper one. I am pretty sure some celebrities and millionaires feel this way. Seriously, if I were to suddenly have millions of dollars, I am not going to start buying $100+ shampoo just because I can.

Nothing wrong with using drugstore products. I pick products based on how well they work for me, not just for the fact that are a particular brand/price point. That being said, I love my Maybelline mascara and Avon (not technically drugstore, the typical ones I use go for $6 to $7 a tube but I get on special when they’re 3 tubes for $8 or similar so I wouldn’t consider that high end) lip gloss. I use drugstore brands of nail polish remover, shampoo/conditioner, body wash and moisturizers. I use mostly China Glaze (and sometimes OPI or Sally Hansen) nail polish, I’m not sure you’d consider that drugstore or high end because I’ve so far only purchased at a beauty supply store, but it runs $5 to $8 so I’d say it’s closer to drugstore than luxury brands that go for $20+.

@Erika_Steele@xanga - Celebrities know they need to save their money to pay for their therapy, divorce settlements and cosmetic procedures to keep their careers alive lol

Sure, PERHAPS a celebrity happens to really enjoy a certain drugstore product. I don’t necessarily trust that they love it. Many celebrities are spokesmodels for drugstore cosmetic brands, and are contractually obligated to use the products.
