Pinterest is both an amazing and a terrifying place to find new recipes. Sometimes you stumble across a nifty new dessert to try out with friends. Sometimes you’re presented with a shocking and unsavory (and unhealthy) casserole that no human should ever be forced to eat. And sometimes you find the bacon recipes.
I must admit that I have, at one point, been subjected to the unusual treat of caramelized bacon. It isn’t so bad (kind of like when you accidentally get syrup on the rest of your breakfast) but the mere concept of it had me gagging. Still, I am told that it makes a popular party dish, at least down here in Texas.
Candying bacon is a fad I will never understand. I get that sometimes you don’t just want candy or bacon: you want both. (Granted, just the idea of eating both at once makes me feel like I’ve gained ten pounds.) But still, I feel there’s something to be said about dire lack of patience if you insist on concocting a way to eat your two favorite foods at the exact same time.
3. Bacon Jam
I thought this was supposed to be a joke. I thought, “Gee, there’s no way anyone could have seriously found a way to turn bacon into a savory breakfast spread.” Wrong. So very wrong. And apparently it isn’t just one person; there are multiple recipes on Pinterest alone.
The name alone made me giggle. This manly pancakes are comprised of Bisquick, beer, and bacon: a triumvirate of masculinity. I think the only thing that could make this breakfast any more macho or ridiculous would be to set it on fire.

@Trueinnerbeauty - Now I am intrigued. I would try it. I figured it would be unappealing (to me anyway) like chocolate covered bacon or carmelized bacon.
