You might have seen the trailer on TV or online for the upcoming film Magic Mike. But no matter what was actually said in the trailer, you probably just heard “Channing Tatum, blahblah, Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, blahblah strippers.” Yep, a movie about male strippers, played by dudes we always wanted to see in such circumstances. Here’s the trailer if you haven’t seen it. There is what seems to be a superficial plot line that involves Mike (Tatum) wanting to be a custom furniture designer and get out of the stripping biz. But I think we’d all prefer to think of this as a guilt-free parade of pretty things.
