Sadly, the art of handwriting has been lost in a world populated with texts and e-mails. Instead of composing a handwritten letter, it’s so much easier to type a quick message to a friend or colleague on a phone or computer. However, sometimes life requires us to write things such as lecture notes and grocery lists, which cause us to reach for a pen and paper instead of the nearest keyboard. As rarely seen as your handwriting is, though, it can offer an insight into your personality.
Handwriting analysis is a means of evaluating and comprehending an individual’s personality by identifying patterns present in his or her handwriting. I’ve never given much thought to my handwriting; I just try to make it legible for those who have to read it. I was fascinated to find that certain qualities in my handwriting can potentially reveal aspects of my personality. Read on to see what your handwriting may have to say about you!
After reading this, do any of you Lovelies think there is any truth to these claims? Let us know!
If it slants…
To the right: Outgoing and sociable, you like to communicate with those around you.
The the left: You tend to stay away from group work, preferring to work alone and out of the spotlight. Right-handed? A leftward slant may indicate rebellious feelings.
No slant: Logical and sensible, you tend to keep feelings to yourself.
If the writing is…
Small: Insightful and a bit shy, it is easy for you to focus and concentrate.
Large: Your personality is a big as your letters. You are likely very outgoing and enjoy being the center of attention.
Average: You’re a go-with-the-flow kind of person. You are a social chameleon and tend to adapt well in most situations.
If it’s a bit loopy…
Narrow “L” loops: You may be restricting yourself in some manner, which could lead to feelings of tension.
Wide “L” loops: You’re relaxed and spontaneous; self-expression comes easily to you.
Narrow “e” loops: Skeptical of others, you tend not to be swayed by the emotions of others.
Wide “e” loops: You enjoy trying new experiences and naturally have an open mind.
If your “s” letters are…
Pointed: You enjoy learning and studying new things. The higher the point is, the more ambitious you likely are.
Round: You like to make everyone happy, and tend to compromise instead of confronting others.
Wide towards the bottom: This may indicate that you are not following your heart in your career or other pursuits.
Printed: Versatile is a great word to use to describe you.

Yes, that is truthful.
I actually try to send cards for birthdays, engagements and thank you’s. I figure that people more so now appreciate the written word over a massive text message.
Speaking of which, I have to send off this letter. . .

I am left handed and have never had a slant to my writing, none of the left handed people I knew did. We were taught that all left handed people had trouble getting a slant on writing

They all seemed true to my writing!

Ehhhh. Yes and no.

One point: If you are a lefty, you may slant more towards the left because you are resting your wrist while you write, just as a right handed person rests his/her wrist while they write, thus writing to the right.

Pretty much so true. Not 100%, of course, but close enough to make me feel that there make be some inkling of truth behind it. That’s pretty cool!
