If you can’t tell by now, I’ll just come right out and say it: I’m obsessed with all things handmade. I spend hours on Etsy looking for new things. In the spirit of Moonrise Kingdom, I thought I would share one of my favorite Etsy finds, Be proud merit badges by Lee Meszaros.

As an ex-girl scout, I have a soft spot for patches and badges. I was a badge freak. I wanted them all. These merit badges, however, are not for girl scouts. Although some of them are totally cute for kids, most of them are hilarious, and clearly for your grown-up accomplishments.

Use them to adorn that denim vest you’ve been wearing,  sew one on the breast of that thrift store grandpa sweater you bought last fall or get one for your bestie with road rage the next time see her ‘flipping the bird’ (see the ‘flipping the bird merit badge below).
