Most of us dream of Ryan Gosling gifting us with a serenade, and if we were all just Mormon women in 1991, our wishes could have would be granted. Apparently Gosling, who went on to become a member of the Mickey Mouse Club, was, “the resident darling of Ontario’s religious talent show circuit.” Who would have thought? [via Gawker]

Obviously his roots are there. You just don’t become a member of a mormon talent circuit just because you can sing. And they don’t have talent shows regularly. In fact, it’s an anomaly.
