I liked it until she bitched him out for the butterfly.. then I stopped watching.

Interesting and kind of strange. But I still like Shia Labeouf- good actor. 

I really liked it. I’d probably have to watch it more to get the full meaning of what they are showing us. Not to mention, I love Shia LaBeouf.

I think its very deep, I don’t know the meaning though. Its a little strange but its done very artsy!

I actually really liked that. And why make a big deal about him being naked? You can’t even see anything in the split second they show him.

My impressions:
0:00 – 0:55 – Hm shia looks so shaggy here. Ooh he’s fit
0:55 – 2:12 – Bahahahahahahah wtf is going on. Sexual dance fail.
2:12 – 3:41 – Looks like an acid trip at a rave. Long hair guy looks like steve aoki
3:41 to end – Shia’s puppy dog eyes are so d’aww. Explosive glass breaking. Yawn. too predictable. Reminds me of “We Found Love” and “Love the Way You Lie”

It is a bit odd, but I would expect nothing less of Sigur Ros. The song is beautiful and their latest album is a triumph. 

I thought this was really interesting and wasn’t even focused on the nudity. The video isn’t about Shia LaBeouf being naked, this video is an art. I’m an art major, so I’m supposed to critique stuff, but this is really difficult. Anyway, here’s my interpretation: A guy and a girl are in a bad relationship, the butterflies symbolize good times they had together but they’re dead and framed now because those good times are only memories. They are just hanging on seeing where the relationship is taking them, though it is paining them both to hang on. I’m not sure what the tally marks on her back are for, but maybe the guy is counting how long their relationship has lasted even though the girl just wants it to end. Every day basically happens in this same fashion. I think it also has to do with the animal instinct in all of us and how roles seem to reverse sometimes in relationships. 

This may be just my interpretation because I just went through a relationship sort of like that. But, that’s the best I got. 

What an intense and intriguing interpretation of love. I tripped out on it, though, that could just be because I was stoned when watching it. Hah. 

I think I may be too dense when it comes to artsy stuff like this… So to really give my interpretation on this video would be pointless, although, it was intriguing. 

i loved it, the music, the acting, the analogies.

It lost me for a moment in the middle, until they reached the room of butterflies, and then it all made sense once they started fighting. It was quite beautiful to watch, and I’ll admit when he cut her with the glass, I started crying. Maybe its just me, but this held so much personal meaning. I just can’t get those images out of my head now, and it makes my heart hurt.

I can understand why people wouldn’t like it though, and each to their own.

This was extremely beautiful. I wasn’t a big fan of the whole sucker part, unless there was some deep meaning I missed there, but other than that, I found it… moving.

I get it!!!! They are stick in a loop dicitated by the two weirdos and the black lines (crossed marks of 5 etc) represent how many times the loop happened.
