Watermelon is possibly my favorite fruit of all time. It’s upsetting to me that this delicious summer food is only at its best during the summertime, because I would love to eat it year-round. When a watermelon is in my house, it never lasts long. Some people may not love watermelon as much as I do, though, and choose to play with their food before they eat it.
Behold, the art of watermelon carving. In all my years as a melon fanatic, I have never seen the fruit used as a means of creating sculpture. I’ve found a plethora of unique and clever watermelon creations, ones which I can almost guarantee that none of you Lovelies have seen before! Take a look at the gallery below to see more of these adorable, and edible, works of art.
Which one do you think is the most clever? While the hedgehog is great, I have to say my favorites are the beach bucket and teapot.

These are pretty sweet. I can’t eat watermelon though, I’m allergic to any form of melon in fruit form. Can’t eat watermelon, cantaloupe, or honeydew, unless I want my throat to close up and itch. It’s not much fun.
