Penelope Cruz arrived at the L.A. Film Festival Premiere for her new movie, To Rome, With Love today sporting this off-white, sparkly Michael Kors dress. The Roman goddess sentiment is appreciated, but the dress itself is not.

I don’t know where to start with this gown. The color? Penelope has such a beautiful complexion, it’s a shame to wash it out with such a drab shade of tan. The cut? The leg slit is alright, but the random hunk of cloth hanging off her chest is distracting and gives her body a weird shape. The sparkles? No amount of glitter can make this dress better.

I like the belt and I like the heels, but the rest of this ensemble is just unfortunate.
