I have a very selective memory, and it’s not even for just important things. I’ll remember a random conversation I had with my best friend last week but not remember what I had for breakfast yesterday. Maybe if I had eaten a cup a berries I’d be better off. According to a British study, eating a cup of blueberries a day can improve memory neurons in just a few months!
Here are some other foods that apparently make you smarter:
Apples contain catechins, substances that protect our brains from damaging chemicals, and they’re sweet too! I might try replacing one of my junk food snacks with them.
My fave! Dark chocolate
It helps improve blood circulation to the brain so you can think better on your toes. It’s good to know that one of my weaknesses can be actually beneficial.
They help to create serotonin which stabilizes brain health and mood. Now I know I can eat these when I’m feeling down and want to comfort myself by eating.
They boost our immune system to protect new brain cells that are forming. Even though I think they’re disgusting, I might start substituting them instead of broccoli now that I know how healthy they are for brain stimulation.
Would you be willing to give them a shot?
