Has anyone ever had a great experience with OkCupid? I’ve never used the site, and I certainly don’t doubt its potential, but I feel like all my friends who had accounts only reported bad experiences. Maybe it’s because of the men like the ones in this gallery, who probably shouldn’t be allowed to interact with any women, ever.
One charming man sent this message to a woman who was clearly (and unsurprisingly) not interested:

I think you’re sort of rude and bitchy for thinking that the first profile makes a guy “bad.” My boyfriend has a childlike quality to him and I love it. I’ve known it from the moment I met him. Guys hate bitches and high-maintenance chicks….

I used an online dating site a few years ago. I went on a few dates and the guys were ALL weirdos. One of them, that I didn’t even meet (luckily!) called and texted me so much that I had to change my number. I probably won’t be trying them now that I’m single… again.

I was on plentyoffish for a week and some guy asked me to shit on his chest. Also, I got quite a few racist asian comments (me love you long time, etc). I also did meet my boyfriend of 3 years on there, so I guess I can’t complain too much :p

I met my husband on Yahoo Personals. I never used any other site but I’m sure there are plenty of weirdos mixed in with the good guys on all of them. Although, the one that said he was childlike and didn’t want to date a b**** wasn’t unreasonable I think. The others were pretty insane though.

I had a boyfriend I’d met off okcupid, I had a few bad experiences with guys from both there and pof (normal guys being assholes though, not weirdos) and I am sort of talking to a guy atm from okcupid I think. He’s a pretty decent person. I think these days most single people seem to be on sites like that, it’s just normal. I figure it doesn’t hurt to be on there. Even if I’m not looking, I might meet someone I wouldn’t otherwise cross paths with in RL.

I just got married on 4/14 to someone I met on OkCupid back in 2009
. So yeah, there are some good guys on there! (I did have 4-5 dead end dates before meeting him, but nothing horrible.)

My experience wasn’t horrible. I went on a handful of dates with mostly great guys. I dated 3 for different 2 months periods. I was pissed that one led me on and never stated he was just “having fun” and the other one got scared and bailed when I asked if he wanted a serious relationship. But those are problems completely independent of online dating. I can’t say I had to deal with anyone that was in anyway like these guys, though. Except the first one. I don’t know what is wrong with not wanting to date a cold, callous bitch.
