In my personal experience, I’ve found that most hotel rooms look the same. With the exception of one stay in a kids-themed hotel outside Disney World, where every room was decorated differently, the majority of my vacationing has involved a typical two-bed room with bland wallpaper and complimentary shampoo. You know, nothing fancy, just a place to sleep for the night after a crazy, fun-filled day. After seeing some of the world’s coolest hotel rooms, though, I think I’ve been missing out.
Some of the world’s most extraordinary hotel rooms offer unique experiences that could truly contribute to the excitement of a vacation. From outrageously decorated walls, to in-room miniature golf courses, these sleeping quarters guarantee that your hotel stay will be anything but normal. Admittedly, I don’t even want to know what a 24-hour stay in each room must cost. However, the potentially high price tags do not make any of these rooms less fun to admire. Check out the gallery for my favorite extravagant hotel rooms!
What do you think, Lovelies? Would you want to spend a night (or a week, or a month) in any of these crazy rooms?

What’s the point of these elaborate hotel rooms? don’t people rarely spend time in their rooms on vacation anyway?

I really like the one underwater. Also, what’s up with the one with a guy in a loincloth on the bed…? O__o

I really want to go to the Ice Hotel, the underwater hotel and the one with giraffes! There’s a place in Africa that’s similar but with penguins instead, and they’re free to wander around the hotel and the dining rooms, haha.

@cryholy@xanga – I was mildly freaked out by the guy in the loincloth as well! It turns out that the chocolate man was inspired by Baptiste Giabiconi, who was Karl Lagerfeld’s favorite muse and designer. Kind of weird, but totally balanced out by the fact that the room is made out of 10 tons of chocolate.

@rachael12345 - lol, yeah. Although, I think the glass igloo would an exception because you can just be in your room to watch the Aurora Borealis all night without being in the cold.

I WANT to stay in the underwater room!

Aside from the Caveman room & Giraffe room – the rest look awful. The chocolate one would make me sick after awhile [too much sweet] plus would it melt or no? LOL. The underwater one would freak me out [I don't fancy being 20,000 leagues under the sea] the Castle one would give me a headache with the bright colors & uncomfortable looking bed & the Ice one? No thanks I’d like to be warm & again, comfortable. If I am going to pay upwards of tens of thousands of dollars to stay in a hotel room..I wouldn’t pick half of these.

Under Water. Ice Hotel. Giraffe Sanctuary Hotel.
In that order.
On my bucket list.

@syringesofglitter_x@xanga - the underwater one is only like, 20 metres underwater or something.
