At times I have found HBO’s Game of Thrones quite disconcerting – the gratuitous sex, blood-drunk brutality and the necessary Rolodex one must have to remember each character and placement. But who cares? This epic drama is addicting and the season finale left us with promises of the undead! The foremost reason I worship this show is the powerful leading ladies. The hairstyling team, with exquisite craftsmanship, has given either an ethereal, regal or distinct touch to each female character.
In fact, after each episode, I have been screaming at my hair to “grow faster already” so it can fully embrace the majestic styles that these women sport. For all you lucky long-haired gals, these are gorgeous ‘dos to try!
Ever the voices of reason in a male-dominated, barbaric fantasy world, these women, good or evil, possess the necessary means to survive. Whether or not certain characters, namely Sansa and Arya Stark, will seek revenge after strategically feigning their predicaments will be revealed in the next season due next year. For now, we can look the beautiful and inventive coiffure as inspiration for medieval twists to our usual style.
Do you find these hairstyles inspiring? Are you a fan of Game of Thrones? If so, who is your favorite character?

Daenerys is a boss….and I really want to be her for Halloween hahaha
@atl_luv@xanga - I really hated Sansa at first but she’s definitely grown on me. I just wished she had pushed Joffrey off the platform in season 1.

We do all understand that the ladies of this show wear wigs/extensions for the most part, yes?

I refuse to watch the show because apparently after season 1, it’s really innacurate compared to the books. Can anyone back me up on that or have I just been hearing the wrong things?

@daydreams_nightmares@xanga -
Some parts were changed like *minorspoilers* the chain, where Arya and the other boys go, the Reeds haven’t been introduced yet *minorspoilers* so some were for the better I feel and I think the minor characters (Reeds and Reek) will show up in season 3.It’s not like they killed off important characters that live in the books or something. The sequence of events are different but the story is the same.Dany’s storyline in the series is a hell of a lot less boring than the one in CoK.
So yeah.

@sorority_girl86@xanga - Only Daenerys and Cersei wear wigs made of human hair, which are expensive but worth it to have movement. All other actresses have either chopped (only Arya) or dyed their hair. In my opinion, the wigs don’t take away from the hairstyle.

I love this show. The hair styles vary between pretty hot and outlandish.

@throwaway - Yup, the they have casted characters for the Reeds in season 3, so they’ll be making their appearance.
@leslie - Did Arya actually chop her hair, like in real life?

Dunno. my favorite part is laughing at the whores’ dresses.

@SuGaBaYbiEx69@xanga - Yes! First it was a wig since it was actually cut off in the episode, but then she cut it in real life and it looks great on her.

Is it just me, or does Lena Heady always look like she’s trying to hold in a fart? I really like the braided hairstyles though!
