When it comes to fashion and beauty, Katy Perry is absolutely fearless. I have never seen someone take the risks that she has with her style, both on and off the red carpet. Within the past few months, Katy seems to be doing a great deal of experimentation with her hair color. From jet black to hot pink, she’s had it all!
Not everyone can be as versatile with hair color as Perry is. As someone who likes to try different hair colors, I’ve had my own fair share of hair dye mishaps. A bad experience with Sun-In left my naturally brown hair bright orange, and a later attempt to dye it darker left me with jet-black hair. It was awful. Needless to say, I cannot pull off quite the range of colors that Katy Perry can. In the gallery below I’ve documented the many different hair colors of this pop singer, which range from black to blonde with pops of neon in the middle.
Which color do you Lovelies like best on Katy? Have any of you ever experimented with bright hair dye?

I plan on keeping my hair my natural color and only accentuating it with highlights. I feel like damaged, brittle hair can really age you much faster, no matter the color.

Black is probably not her natural hair color, but I feel that it flatters her most from the color choices noted above. My hair, I’ve tried highlights–both subtle and chunky…but that was it for me. I like my natural hair color. The highlights actually didn’t brighten my look, I felt that they made my face look more washed out.

@babybug329@xanga - Her natural color is a dirty blonde, she had been dying it black since she was 17 though!
I’ve been highlighting/dying my hair for 5 years now, but I know how to keep it healthy. I love Katy’s hair any color! But I like it best on her black or when she had a short blue bob

She can pull off all of these, but the red hair, the blond, and the blue don’t compliment her as much.
Personally, my hair naturally ranges from dirty blond in places, golden blond in some of my natural hi-lights, light brown and medium-dark brown. And I love it. The rust in the water where I live (well water) also adds some gorgeous red shades throughout my hair.
I would likely never change it completely, though possibly in subtle ways, if it hit me just right and I couldn’t get the urge out of my system. Haha. I might dye the tips eventually, if I ever want to bad enough.

My hair was bright pink for the past few months. I had wanted to do it for two years and finally went through with it.. I never wanted to change it, but I did before getting my old job back (which I found out AFTER that they would have allowed me to keep it/didn’t care about it). I did it dark red to cover the pink and now it will take a lot of time and babying my hair if I want to fade/bleach/get to light enough to go pink again. I’m so upset! haha.
I love everything Katy does. She is my favourite.
