I’m still not sure the world is ready for “Berks.” I actually have a hard time explaining why this meme makes me laugh so hard. Maybe it’s the look on the girl’s face. Maybe it’s the fun of saying the captions out loud and sounding so ridiculous every time. And then you can’t get the funny voice out of your head. Either way, “Berks” is a valuable part of all things “derp” and it’s probably best to just let you experience it for yourself. 


Not only do I love this meme because it’s freaking genius, but also because unlike memes where the subject is victimized against their wishes (“I can count to potato,” for instance), the Berks girl is super “hot” now and seems to see the humor in the meme, too. We can’t all be Ridiculously Photogenic Guy, but this is a happy story as far as I’m concerned.

 

So the meme goes from Berks girl to pretty much any animal or celebrity caught making a funny face in a photo, and then it gets a caption (of awesomeness) for you to read out loud to yourself and inexplicably deteriorate into laughter while alone at your house. Meme: WIN!
