All zombie-apocalypse references aside, this kid has eternal life on lockdown. I love the way kids think — pure insight mixed with minimal exposure equals unfiltered awesomeness. Here are a handful of the awesome things that happen when you give a kid a piece of paper and something to write with.

This kid’s got a serious knack for poetry. I think (in all seriousness) he’s going to be really happy his mom saved this when he’s older. My boyfriend and I keep one of his childhood poems on the fridge about how “sharks are scary” and he “doesn’t want to marry” them. You might be able to suss out the rhyme scheme. Enjoy these ridiculously candid notes and drawings by kids who probably have no idea what they’re talking about.

Which is your favorite?
