Every once in a while you happen on something you just can’t keep under wraps. Only recently have my boyfriend and I really gotten into Mad Men. But once the ball got rolling, we couldn’t stop. We caught all the way up within a few weeks and now we’re watching the episodes as they air. This weekend is the much-anticipated season finale, so Buzzfeed released a bunch of really interesting facts about the series that blew my mind! Check out some things I’ll be you didn’t know about the hit series. Warning: Spoilers to follow if you’re not caught-up.
For starters, the guy up there (center) who plays Freddie Rumsen? He’s Bill Murray’s brother in real life. Coolness in the gene pool if you ask me.
Or how about this: Even though the show is set in New York City, and that’s all they freaking talk about, all the episodes except one were filmed in Los Angeles. AH!
So when Peggy left for a cool $19k salary, we all crunched the numbers to find out if that was a good deal or not. Turns out, she would have been accepting a salary of $131,000 today. Go Peggy!
Check out more eye-opening facts about Mad Men in the gallery, and enjoy the finale this Sunday. I know I will!
Which of these facts is most surprising to you?

I heard they paid 300,000$ to play a Beatles Song, just so the show could feel authentic.

What happened to Peggy’s baby wasn’t vague, though. Her sister adopted it. It was pretty clear.
I would include a spoiler alert, maybe, about certain plot points.

@winterEnds@xanga - no, what they’re saying is that the sister isn’t raising it. it went to an anonymous adoptive parent.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks Glen is creepy and weird.
