This is one of those things I came across on the internet forever ago and I forgot about until just now. Irina Werning, a photographer from Buenos Aires, has done this awesome photo project recreating peoples childhood photos. The project is called ‘back to the future’ and strikes me as one of the more clever photo projects I’ve seen. I love it.
It’s hilarious to think about recreating some of my favorite childhood photos, but there could be some good ones. Here are some of my favorite photos from Irina Werning’s ‘Back to the Future’ and ‘Back to the Future 2′ set.
You can see more of Irina’s work at Irinawerning.com
Do you have any childhood photos you wish you could recreate?

This is such a cute idea! I love the one of the girl laying on the floor in sunglasses, and the first one. Very cool.

I’ve seen these a lot, but they never get old. I love them.

Not going to lie, a few of these people look like they may be on crack or something o.O

These are amazing. You should have included the Berlin Wall one from the second set of photos, though, because that one is just so cool

I’m such a huge fan of this series!!
If I could do this, I’d recreate a pinup-ish shot of me in a ruffly swimsuit near a wading pool that my mom put together when I was one.

Such a cool/amusing concept! LOVE it.

I’m kind of surprised that some of them were able to find the exact same/really similar outfit that fits them now.

This is such an awesome idea.
LMAO at the Playboy one.

It’s amazing how natural most of the pics look. Usually people trying to recreate a shot will end up looking like they’re posing/distracted by their own effort. Very awesome.

This is so cool! I love projects like this.
Given the chance, I’d recreate a picture of me from when I was about 3, wearing my Mom’s heels and pushing my “kids” around in a bassinet. :]

My high school did this with some seniors in the yearbook every year. Its so funny & cool to see how much people change.
