The world awoke to some cute news today (or at least I did). Miley Cyrus and her boyfriend of three years, Liam Hemsworth, are engaged! They announced their news to People magazine, and you can find out more here!
22-year-old Hemsworth and 19-year-old Cyrus met on the set of The Last Song in 2009, and have been dating ever since. Liam mentioned how, when working on the movie, “when you start, you want to be professional, but when you’re filming those scenes with someone and pretending to love them, you’re not human if you don’t feel something.” Cyrus, who will now be sporting a 3.5-carat diamond on her ring finger, told People that, “I’m so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam.” There’s no news about a wedding date yet, but I’m predicting one worthy of a large tabloid photo spread! Really? 19? That’s very young. Even 21 for me feels young. Live together, figure out your lives together, then when you’re a little bit older, say mid 20s, think about marriage.
