I think I first caught onto this on Tumblr, but it’s everywhere by now — the modern collision of Disney princesses and girls with tattoos. I personally love the girly side of tattoos, where the sailor aspect of tattoos comes all the way back around to suit bad-ss girls instead. So what happens when tattoo artist Tim Shumate decides to adapt Disney princesses as old-fashioned pinup girls… with tattoos? Some modern Disney magic, I guess. Take a look.
While these works of art look fantastic as paintings, I bet they make great tattoos, too! So to be clear: that’s some cool girl, with a tattoo of a Disney princess, with tattoos. Check out the collision of new and old in the gallery.
Would you get a Disney pinup tattoo?

Probably not, because I am unlikely to get a tattoo. BUT, I do think these pictures are adorable, would love it as wall art for my craft room.

What about Pocahontas? She’s my absolute favorite. These are absolutely great though!

If they had Pocahontas I’d get her… But since they don’t I’d do a belle. That is if I ever decide about getting a tat.

If I were to get a tattoo, I’d do Belle or Sally!!

These are beautiful. I love tattoo artwork. I have to say I’m a bit bothered by again how sexy these characters are portrayed. Most of them are boobed up and seductive. That wouldn’t be a problem if these weren’t children’s characters. I really think we should leave the Disney princesses alone. Too many little girls idolize these ladies and I think to bring them into the adult world sends a bad message to their small admirers.

I love these! I would never get one as a tattoo, but I’d love one as a print for my room!
