I don’t go a day without wearing earrings, and I feel like my outfit isn’t complete without something sparkling or dangling from my ears. I rarely wear necklaces, but I’m opening up to the idea of a hybrid accessory that combined the two into one simple piece.
My holes are already pretty stretched out just from wearing earrings every day. Even though I never gauged them, I’m sure I could fit some in there. That’s why I’m a bit hesitant to try the earring/necklace combo. It looks really amazing, and you don’t have to worry about coordinating earrings that will match a necklace, but I’m not sure my lobes could stand it.
Lovelies, have you tried the hybrid? Is this trend hot, or not?

I can’t think of a better way to weigh down your ears than this :-S

I like necklaces and chockers a lot but I’m more traditional I guess. I don’t think this would work for me as I usually wear really small simple pieces.

I hate to be crude but I would be too scared someone would yank on it. Owwww

Yikes, I can’t imagine the weight of it hanging from my ears

No it’s weird.
Let’s just leave it at the ring/bracelet tend, the statement is happier there.

I’d be too scared it would end up getting caught on something. Out of all the times my necklace gets caught on something… ouch!

not, definitely not.

Do not like :/.

i’d be the unlucky idiot who gets it ripped out of her ears because i’d get it caught on something or have it pulled somehow. i’m cringing just thinking about it.

looks dumb. and dangerous
guest
just a great opportunity for someone or something to catch on it and yank it!

It can be a real hazard at work, esp. being caught on something, like shredder,or vehicle. I can foresee people having bloody ears from this trend.

This is the most retarded thing I’ve ever seen.
guest
Definitely not hot. I can’t imagine the weight of that hanging from my ears. Earrings that are a little bit heavy are already bad enough, I wouldn’t want to add necklace weight to that.
guest
my earlobes hurt just looking at these

I’m sorry, I don’t think this is a cute look at all. Also, I agree with so many other people above; I’d be so terrified that my holes would get ripped through.

i LOVED charlize theron’s chained crown look in snowwhite! and this is reminiscent of that so I’d def give it a try!

I have no idea how women wear these kinda stuff… The first picture I believe I can use it for one of my short stories I wrote called “Legend Of The Peacock Feather” No Hybrid period.

I’d be way too paranoid about it getting caught on something and ripping through my ears. pass

I think it is stupid and a good way to rip holes in your ears.

I work at a store called Glitter [hit me up for locations!
] and we sell these. All of our stuff is $1 or $2, but it’s decent stuff that looks just as great as what’s in Cosmo or Vogue. We sell a TON of these necklace earrings. They aren’t heavy, don’t get tangled up in long hair [my hair is down to my waist, so I usually have a problem with this] and cover 2 accessories in one!
I love these little things, so I say hot. Especially knowing how many we sell in a week.

For all the people saying it’s stupid or they’re heavy, etc… have you ever tried them out? Most of them don’t weigh enough for you to even FEEL them. They’re extremely light weight, and the only way to get them caught is to act like an idiot with it on or wear one that’s too long. Most of what I sell in the store [and what I've seen period] don’t come down much further than your collar bone…
What’s the difference in wearing a necklace to work and a pair of earrings or wearing the combination? Nothing…

In high school I loved really long, dangling earrings – I learned a damn good lesson too when one of my earrings got caught on the shoulder tab of my leather jacket. Without realizing my earring was caught, I turned my head and ripped my ear piercing almost all the way through. I haven’t been able to wear anything but post earrings large enough to cover the hole and light enough not to slip down to the bottom after I pinch the earring in there.

My goodness, those are ugly and cheap looking. I’ve been wearing earrings in my ears since I was 2 years old… I have 7 piercings in them. None of them are stretched out. They’re called studs.

The first one actually looks kind of cool to me. I can barely handle wearing big dangling earrings all day though, so I can’t imagine how uncomfortable these would be. Plus, they’d probably catch on things really easily. No thanks!
