I’ve never been a member of or tried using a dating site, but a lot of couples have been successful by using these outlets to get to know each other. To me, appearance and personality are the two things that tell a lot about a person, and people need to try extra hard to portray themselves online when the keyboard may be the only form of communication.

Baha I married Mr. Ninja Sword. Not literally, but my husband and I each own a katana and he has 12 other swords. Mr. Surfer Dude… not attractive but his statement seemed quite reasonable. I’m also not seeing the problem with sterility – at that age, you probably aren’t looking to start a family anyway.

I wonder how much of that is chance and how much of it is selection bias. I know that, in my experience on OkCupid, ladies seem to have better profiles than males on average, but I obviously only see a small sample.

So much hate for the airplane career field. Being an airplane is quite a lucrative career and it takes a lot of work, I’ll have you know. Everyone starts off as just a “plane” and you have to work your ass off for your “air” certification. Any man with the drive and gumption to elevate himself from “plane” to “airplane” status is a winner at life in my book!
