Maybe it’s just a guilty pleasure, but I’m somewhat embarrassed to admit that I watch the show Teen Wolf. I’ve been an avid fan since the show, which is loosely based off the ’80s movie of the same name, premiered last summer, and I’ve watched every episode since.
Yes, I admit half of the fact is to make fun of the cheesy moments with one of my close friends, but this show has all the qualities a good teen drama should have…
For one, there are a TON of hot guys. The main ‘wolf,’ Tyler Posey, is rocking some serious abs, and as broody Scott McCall, he plays a sensitive wolf who is devoted to his girlfriend, Allison. If Tyler doesn’t do it for you, ladies can have their pick at various other eye candy.
Another plus?
As wolves, these boys OFTEN have their shirts off for long portions of every episode! I can’t really complain about that.
While the guys are hot, I can’t help but admit I somewhat have a girl crush on the main female protagonist (pictured above in center), played by Crystal Reed. Not only is Reed gorgeous, but she plays headstrong and ambitious Allison, who is definitely a character to aspire to be like. While not all of us have to battle with the tough decision to date a werewolf despite our family’s history as werewolf hunters, she still has an admirable strength and charm to her.
I also love how dark the show is – the entire ambience of the show takes on a more somber mood than a normal teen drama. The landscape, set both in the woods and in suburbia, take on a mood that mimics the storyline: serious yet hot.
As I previously admitted, some of the writing can get a little corny at times, but the general gist lives up to the MTV name. If you’re looking for a new summer must-watch, I definitely recommend Teen Wolf!
The show airs Monday nights at 10pm/9pm central on MTV.
Do you watch Teen Wolf? What are your guilty pleasure shows?

I’ve only watched up until episode 4 and I don’t quite remember why I stopped watching it. My boyfriend likes the show for its storyline
I’m thinking of catching up so I can watch the new season with him when it comes out.

Ugh. Personally I am so tired & so over any & all of these vampire/warewolf type of books & tv shows. It’s geared to glamorizing the idea of being one [Should you suddenly find yourself in a fictitious setting like that] i.e hot guys, hot girls, romance & danger. When the harsher reality [used loosely there of course] would be if you ever were a vampire or warewolf life would suck. Most Hollywood movies & shows like to depict characters in settings that in reality would never work out the way it does in the movies – vampire & warewolf ones are even worse – because it could never happen, let alone a slight maaaybe in a movie that doesn’t involve fantasy.
I’ll stick to Sons of Anarchy. Jax is some serious eye candy to me ;]

Teen Wolf is great but all i freaking hear you saying is everyone is so hot and that is not even a valid reason to watch it. it isn’t very cheesy at all either, in my opinion.
