It’s times like these I use the amazing resource that is Lovelyish’s readers to get some comprehensive feedback: I’ve been wearing the same perfume (Ralph by Ralph Lauren) since I was like, 17. But you know what’s really hard? Picking out a new scent. For starters, smelling a bunch of things in a row is a total waste of time. After a few you can’t distinguish one from another (coffee beans help, kind of), and they all smell different when they mix with your body chemistry anyway. I always say, “I’ll try this one” and then 20 minutes later I want to change clothes because it’s too strong or did something toxic with my skin oils. Who knows? But I’m at a loss. So, my dear lovelies, can you please give me some tips on a new scent? 

I love Ralph because it’s fresh and distinct without being super sweet or overwhelming. It’s a little citrus-y and a little flower-y. But I’m looking for something more mature, light enough to wear every day, but distinct enough that it still makes me feel pretty. I’m not into “body sprays” or really musky stuff. HALP.
