The house in the above photo is known as the “Light House,” and is likely bright enough to be seen from multiple corners of Drensteinfurt, Germany, where it is located. It shines with the light of 420,000 miniature lightbulbs, which were put into place by owner Gidbert Hiller. This house is just one of many examples of bizarre houses found around the world. There are many more that, while different from this one, are equally outrageous!
There is definitely something to be said for the aesthetic appeal of a home. While some of the houses in the gallery are certainly nice-looking, most are just downright crazy. Take a look for yourself and see!
Which do you Lovelies think is craziest? I think the tree house is insane!

If I had the money, I would build an indoor pool. Big spaces make me uncomfortable, and I hate houses with lots of rooms, so it would be like a two bedroom apartment-sized house with a giant indoor pool. The roof could come off ,and there would be torches around it. That doesn’t bother me because it’s an open space, and it would have a huge shallow end. It would go down gradually. It would also come with a wave machine. Shapes bother me too, so it would be round. I would probably go with salt water. Sadly, fish won’t survive.
I would put tanks around the edges.
Thanks for sharing.
What would your ideal home be?

I saw a couple of pictures of really cool treehouses. Like, actual houses in trees though, not just the little fort ones

When I have my own place, my living room is going to be a blanket fort. Fact. Like, the floor is going to be a giant mattress. There’ll be a giant TV, video games, movies, loads of blankets, pillows, snacks and a mini-fridge. It will be perfect.

I saw this house when I went to Wisconsin http://www.google.com/imgres?q=upside+down+house+wisconsin+dells&hl=en&sa=X&rlz=1C2DVZA_enUS460US460&biw=1280&bih=705&tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=I-MDg6EOF7CX3M:&imgrefurl=http://photos.igougo.com/pictures-photos-p519976-Upside_Down_White_House.html&docid=YngcIWrzIPs1UM&imgurl=http://photos.igougo.com/photos/journal/pref/ead77227a4d04ce5899b76967e8243a0.jpg&w=474&h=355&ei=effMT8-qJc3l6gG7vugz&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=597&vpy=238&dur=774&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=178&ty=78&sig=105262933485624354962&page=1&tbnh=157&tbnw=193&start=0&ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:0,i:88

@colorsofthenight, that sounds like an awesome pool! My ideal house would definitely be close to a beach, or at least a lake! I can’t not be near a body of water.
I also love the idea of living in a blanket fort, @daydreams_nightmares. It would be so cozy on a miserable rainy day like today! I kind of wish I was writing in one right now.
And that upside-down house is too funny! I want to visit it to see the inside as well.
