Kristen Stewart is the movie industry’s dark darling. She has a way of being sultry and yet totally uninterested, sexy and effortless. I’m sure plenty of fans have fantasized about (and googled) the possibility of seeing more of Kristen. And it looks like they’re about to get their wish.
Kristen, 22, stars in the upcoming film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s On The Road, as 16-year-old Mary-Lou. And she has opted to go topless for parts of the film. And while she says she expected there to be a fuss or backlash from critics, she doesn’t regret her decision.
I can’t say it’s not a little bit jarring, but it’s jarring in the right way. I wanted it to be. I’m really proud of it.
says Kristen of her decision. If you’ve read the book you know there’s some drug content, some sex, and some all around beat-poetic debauchery. I suppose Kristen saw this as the right way to do justice to the role. Either way, just like everything else in Kristen’s life, it seems like it’s not that big of a deal to her… just one of the reasons we love her. Check out the trailer below.
What do you think of Kristen Stewart’s decision to go topless for On The Road?

Doing a movie about sex and drugs? Seems like something that’s right up her ally, if you know what I mean.

She shows no interest in anything because she’s an expressionless cyborg!

She already played Joan Jett & made out with Dakota Fanning, how different could this be?
Also, just a huge FUCK YEA for this being turned into a movie! Jack Kerouac FTW!!

here’s another fact.. There’s a graphic threesome sex scene in this movie with the 3 main casts. Nothing like that twilight sex crap

I’m actually really sad that they’re making this book into a movie. Some things should just be allowed to remain as they are.

Ugh, good. I think she is a good actress who got fucked by Twilight. ANYONE would be a shitty actress if they were trying to play the flat, no-dimensional Twilight characters. I first saw her in Speak when I was I think 14, and I loved her in that. I think she could definitely be really good in this role.
I’ve never read this book, though.

I read the book (for a class) and didn’t like it. I don’t know if I want to see it. Knowing Kristen Stewart is starring in it makes me not want to see it. But I also see Amy Adams in it. And I LOVE a lot of her movies.

Kristen Stewart bores the fuck out of me. I’ve seen many of her movies and they aren’t that great.

@hollowhopes@xanga - THANK YOU. Kristen Stewart is a good actress who got sucked into a role for a bad movie franchise. A role in this kind of movie is probably more her forte.

@hollowhopes@xanga - @Digital_Angel21@xanga - YESSS. i LOVE speak. it was my favorite book back then, so i expected a lot out of the movie and wasn’t disappointed.

Looks like a pretty decent movie tbh.

@Digital_Angel21@xanga - She’s a good actress??? According to who?? Young, naive, little 16 yr olds who haven’t the faintest clue what makes a good actress? From The Panic Room to Into the Wild to the Twilight movies, she does the same thing in every movie. She just sits there with that blank look on her stupid face. I’ve seen her on a couple talk shows and she basically has the personality of a box of rocks. Actually, I think a box of rocks has more personality. She is completely vapid. She makes Paris Hilton look smart.
Oh and she didn’t get sucked into doing those movies. No one put a gun to her head. She CHOSE to be in those movies. There’s no one else to blame for that but her. Sorry to go off like this, but I just find her to be extremely annoying.

@im_not_honest_but_ur_intrsting@xanga - She is a good actress in my not little-young-naive 22-year-old opinion which I am allowed to have. I’ve always liked her in what I’ve seen. I was agreeing with another commenter, not arguing with someone who said she was a bad actress. Have your opinion, but please do not do it in a form of a rant directed at me.
