Now that it’s summer, I feel like I’ve spent exponentially more time on Pinterest. I mean how can you not? Since there are no more tests to study for or papers to write (as if that stopped me before) I can’t seem to find any reason not to. The pins that seem to interest me most since the weather became warm, however, are the food pins.
Of course, the food on Pinterest looks more amazing than anything I could actually concoct myself, but the concepts themselves are really innovative. Are they all original ideas? Probably not. But I never thought baking chocolate chip cookies with OREOS in the middle was something other people thought was as an incredible idea as I always had (or wished I had thought of myself).
The sweets themselves are always scrumptious looking. Whether it’s a cookie or a cake, even glancing at the picture makes me want to immediately run to the gym already feeling guilty. Instead, I usually run to the local supermarket and stock up on sugar and chocolate chips…Is it my fault they happen to be across the street from one another? New York City makes it entirely too easy to get my hands on baking ingredients!
While I can admit that I have a board dedicated mainly to sweet treats, the recipes for actual savory food items are just as expansive and wonderful. Recently I found an amazing recipe for “garlic cheesy bread” which tasted just as incredible as it sounds. If that doesn’t sound incredible? You may want to get your taste buds checked. The cheesy bread was a big hit at my potluck dinner, and I had numerous friends asking where I found the recipe. I am happy to report I turned three other people into Pinterest addicts that day.
Whether you are looking for a simple risotto recipe or an idea for a great date night three course meal, Pinterest has become a one stop shop to find all of your recipe needs. Gone are the days when you had to search the web (mainly Food Network) to find an acceptable recipe. Now, just check Pinterest. Just try not to get too caught up in all the delectable pins or you’ll never be able to get up and start cooking!
Lovelies, have you ever searched for food/recipes on Pinterest? Where do you find your food inspiration?

I love Pinterest! I like to look for recipes that are relatively healthy, and it’s also helped me to find some great exercises that I can do with the limited time I have each day. It’s so awesome!

I love Pinterest! It’s a great way to find new blogs to follow. I usually get my ideas from the blogs. I think exposing myself to all these great ideas have made me a tiny bit more adventurous in terms of the dishes I cook, and makeup and clothing looks I try.

I read a lot of paleo blogs, and those have excellent recipes. I’m also inspired by books, oddly enough. Some dish will be mentioned in the book, and I’ll look up a recipe for it. The latest was roasted eggs. They’re pretty good!
