So I saw this pictures on Tumblr today and was instantly obsessed. If I were a redhead, you know I’d be copying this dye job RIGHT AWAY. I can’t get over how beautiful the bight orange looks against the red! Ombre hair has been trendy for awhile now, but combined with the season’s hottest neon hues has give it new life.
Of course Lauren “Perfect Hair” Conrad jumped on this trend, and she did it right. Her bubblegum pink hair contrasted perfectly against her blonde locks and all white outfit. I love that she put her hair up in a ponytail instead of leaving it down.
Usually ombre hair is seen on girls with longer hair, but this picture proves that is can look great on shorter hair too! And I never thought I’d say this, but green hair looks kind of awesome.
What do you think of neon ombre hair? Would you try it?

Meh…not something I’m that crazy about. Although, the redhead looks awesome!

I don’t really like it at all. I’m sure someone will have it done where it actually looks good

I think it looks hideous, sorry. I think it would look fun on little kids or for a fancy dress party, but not for adults.

It’s not really a ‘new update’

I thought this was just called coloring your tips??? I did this in 8th grade….

I’m doing this in about two hours actually. But I’m just getting the tips of a few small strands scattered through out (like highlights on the tips, but more on the underneath layers), and I’m doing them darker – blue, purple, green. I’m a brunette. So we’ll see. It’s just a fun change. Nothing wrong with having fun with your hair! Plus when it’s pulled up you won’t be able to see mine – so I can keep it classy when need be.

The girl in the last pic basically has my hair only mine is longer and the yellow is starting to fad now. I like it for the fact that it’s adding something interesting without dying your whole friggin head. I love mixing edgy with normal. It’s a great balance. Plus it’s of those things that isn’t supposed to look perfect and that appeals to me more. I like grunge hair way more.

Loving the first picture <3.

I finally remember where I first saw this… On Disney Channel. I cannot think of her name, but I remember her hair was black with red tips.
I am starting to get worn out on the ombre hair trend. Not that I would wear it, but the very first picture looks so awesome.

This isn’t new… this was super popular like 14-15 years ago. lol
Am I really getting so old that kids today don’t remember trends from the first time around?
@Gorrific@xanga - It’s completely the same thing… pretending to be something new.

I think all those look terrible. This look was MUCH more well done the first time around.

Love it!! It’s so playful for summer. I am a redhead and I would totally do the first look if I had a job that allowed it!

My hair is ombre right now. It goes from dark brown to a light blonde.

@aerify@xanga - Miranda from lizzie mcguier? only it was more grungy some how… lol I remember thinking how bubblegum pop it looked to me back then and some how it’s more edgy compaired to this. lol

I actually really love this, and if I ever had a point in life where I could 1.) keep my hair up, as in dye it frequently enough that it doesn’t look like crap. and 2.) could get away with it via alternative employment…I would probably tip my hair in either a full neon rainbow, or the brightest purple I could find.
