Jessica Simpson’s first public baby pictures are out! People apparently forked over a cool $800k for the debut shoot, introducing baby Maxwell to her public. And how cute is she?
This week’s issue features a spread of the proud new parents, Jessica looking fresh (as usual) and baby Maxwell looking decidedly fussy, but adorable. Whew. It felt like Jess was pregnant for like five years, and all we had to do was watch. I bet they’re so glad to be over the “bump” and enjoying their beautiful baby girl.

@kackie - But Kevin… I’ve seen female Kevin’s before, and it’s a more neutral sounding name to me, maybe because of the “in” ending. I’ve noticed that names that have a “i” sound in them can always be in the middle, Ryan, Madison, etc. Maxwell to me just sounds straight up masculine. Maybe more people will have that name now so it’ll become more common but to me right now it sounds like naming a guy Patty or Susie.

She’s cute, and I love Maxwell for a girls name. I have a friend called Maxine and she goes by Max or Maxie, and I’m sure it’ll be the same for Jessica’s baby too.

Why are you guys complaining about the name. I think as a celebrity you have to give your kid an off the wall name. . . Blue, Apple, Puma, Pilot, etc.
I am not shocked anymore. Celebrities can do it can be cool but if a normal person gives their child a name like Maxwell to a little girl they are trailer park trash or ghetto. Double standard.

Interesting name choice.
I love the name Ashley for a boy, which is what the gender the name was most common for in the olden days, but I wouldn’t name my son Ashley because it is mostly now a “girls name”.
Plus my children will be of Salvadorian blood line.. so I’d like to stick with ethnic names.

Indeed. That was my mothers favorite film. When I was maybe 12 she made me sit down and watch it (I then fell in love with the movie myself) and also the name Ashley for a boy
Oddly, I am in love with a man who reminds me a lot of Rhett lol
