There’s a pretty serious nightlife here in Austin, Texas. There are bars everywhere, way more festivals than you would think and parties galore. As you might imagine, there is a lot of beer drinking going on in this town. As a non-drinker, I often find myself looking for other sources of entertainment when I’m out with friends. Lucky for me, Lone Star beer is a staple here. Under each bottle cap is a rebus puzzle, which ensures amusement for at least a little bit.

Sadly, the rebus puzzles under the Lone Star caps are more often than not, repeats. They are also super corny and outdated, and usually when you figure them out you get disappointed with the answer. “That’s it?! I spent 5 minutes trying to figure this out??!”

Lydia Reynolds is an Austin-based graphic designer who felt the same way. She got fed up with Lone Star’s rebus puzzles and decided to make her own. Not only are they way better, but they are hilarious, girly and super fun.
