It’s hard to walk in any store these days and not find some sort of accessory to go along with your smart phone. Some, like the iHome, are absolutely awesome (at least for iPhone and iPod users). Others, are quirky and cute, and look awesome when next to your apartment decor. Then there are some that have already been seen before but the designs are just…unusual.

As cool as some of these things are, one could argue they are also completely unnecessary… but also kind of awesome. My favorite? The boom box. Who can resist an old school sound system that can play everything in your playlist and isn’t limited to CDs or mixtapes? Actually, that’s probably the only thing on this list I would use since I hardly play games on my phone. Then again, I might be the lamest smart phone owner in the world: my case is a light shade of blue, my games are Solitaire and Hamlet and my apps only help me talk to people that aren’t easily accessible.

So maybe phone accessories aren’t totally up my alley. But, really, who is buying a an iPhone ball case? I guess it will give anyone’s phone a little flare and is definitely a conversation piece.
