The US has its fair share of conservatives who bemoan the “sinful” ways of artists like Lady Gaga. With her scant outfits, provocative music videos and overall liberal message, it would be hard to not expect some sort of backlash. But though there are a number of Americans who speak out against the pop star, we’ve never seen massive protests against her concerts. That, it seems, is the job of fundamentalists in Indonesia and the Philippines. Click here to see some signs from their anti-Gaga rallies.


Despite the number of US citizens scandalized by Gaga, conservatives in Indonesia and the Philippines really know how to cause an outcry. Some of these protests even involved singing and candlelight vigils. Gaga’s manager has said she won’t cancel her concerts, and, in fact, ticket sales in Indonesia have risen since the protests.
