It seems to me like that new trend is the partly shaved head look. I think it looks really edgy and different, and it offers a unique style that only some are daring enough to try. My main concern is when that section of hair grows out, it will be an awkward length and will not blend in nicely with the long pieces, right? Unless you continue to keep up with the shaving.
Although it looks “high fashion” to me, I really don’t think I can pull it off. I think the style says a lot about one’s own personality and willingness to experiment. I was hesitant to add neon color to my hair but decided to try it last October by adding pink extensions for breast cancer awareness month. For now, I’m fine with my wavy bob that I’m trying to grow out, but maybe I’ll conjure up the guts to shave a little this summer and completely transform my look… We’ll see!
Lovelies, have any of you tried the shaved style or are willing to?

I’m just judging from an aesthetic point of view, but it doesn’t look feminine or “pretty” at all. Those that can pull this off can be seen as daring and all that, but I still wouldn’t say it’s pretty. But it is impressive.

The “shaved” look is more popular among the Goth Community. I personally don’t like it but, to each their own.

I think it looks really awesome on some people, but you need to have kind of the right look for it. I like it though.

This was the first thing that came to mindt: http://girlsthatlooklikeskrillex.tumblr.com/
Also, one of my friends did this and it actually looks really good on her but I don’t think I could ever pull it off

eeehhhhh

No, I don’t think this style is for me. If others want their hair partially shaven, it’s fine by me.
guest
I haven’t tried it, but it looks amazing on some people.

I think it looks pretty stupid. One of my friends has it done and she looked so much nicer with an even hairstyle :-/

It looks supez cool. I’d do it but I like my hurr.

i think it looks cool but i’d never do it, because how do you grow it out without it looking weird?

I think it looks edgy, and says a lot about a person’s confidence. If you can rock it, go for it(: But it does remind me of Skrillex (: (Not a bad thing, love him<3 )

I absolutely love it. I’d do it I had Alice’ face structure (the girl in the first picture). Either her’s or Cassie Ventura. The name for it is undercut, btw. A lot of my friends tell me that I could do it and my face shape has nothing to do with it but I still think otherwise. I have a round face. I’d have to lose plenty of weight and do everything in the name of makeup to make my face look thinner. It wouldn’t work for me but I still love it.

that is definitely called a side cut, or an under cut. not shaved head look. and I think its fantastic on some girls, some not so much

done it and loved it.

I feel like it has been around for a long time and comes and goes in waves.
I’d never do it.
I AM thinking about jumping on the Ombre wagon though, or going So-Yesterday’s Trend and put the feathers back in my hair, I liked them a lot

I did when I was younger. I wouldn’t do it now. It is definitely a look for the young.

For those of you who’ve tried it, what do you do when it starts growing in?
guest
I have never seen a girl do it and look good. They always look kinda of mean and butch. Not feminine at all.
guest
I think it looks really cool. I have seen a girl grow it out though. It wasn’t that noticeable because it was partially covered by her long hair. Plus, she dyed it leopard print, which made that growing out phase a little less awkward.

saw several girls at school had it done. i felt like they were trying too hard to keep up with trends more like a “trying to be hipster cool”
only 1 girl i saw got hers done where its super edgy & chic – i complimented her on it
as for the shaved part going out –> hair extensions ?

Stupid people label too much oh my god its a goth hair cut. Oh there just trying to be cool or get noticed. them kind of people make me sick
Ok so now that I got that out of the way. As a guy I had done this once before. Only difference is that mine was bald under my hair.
I don’t think all girls can pull this off. Looks better on dark haired girls
guest
My hair is thin enough as it is, I can’t afford to shave it.
guest
Wouldn’t work on me, but I love the look on some girls & wish I could pull it off.
guest
I’ve been thinking about it…

Miss, in my opinion. For one, this look is very much last spring, Also, if a gal is going to do something “radical” like this with her look, she should at least summon up to the courage to shave her entire head, like I did, when I donated my entire head of hair to Locks of Love. Nothing wrong with looking a little craze-headed in honor of those who do not have that option, Just sayin’.

I have this hair sooo yes, I like it
guest
Some can pull it off, but like @Kittyluve@xanga said, I wouldn’t call it pretty. My friend has this hair, and it looks perfect on him. I’ve only recently discovered this hairstyle was also for females too. Not such a fan on the femmes.

I think it’s really cool. I’d do it if I had the balls.

I think it looks strangely beautiful. I wish I could pull it off.

I love it. I’m wanting to do it. You let it grow out a bit and then cut the rest of your hair into a bob like cut and cont. to grow it out normally.
