Have you noticed something different about Anne Hathaway lately? Yep, she chopped off her luscious locks for a shorter ‘do. Rumor has it this transformation was all due to her role in new movie, Les Miserables.
Well, It seems that more and more celebrities are turning to a different, simpler hairstyle these days.
Along with Anne, here are 4 other celebrities that took the plunge from long locks to a pretty pixie.
Although her hair changes by the day, Rihanna once sported long tresses before drastically changing her look.
Ginnifer Goodwin
Ginny looks adorable with her pixie cut – although I do miss her long ‘do. How amazing does she look with her long locks too??
Emma Watson
Emma went from a young Harry Potter star and graduated to sophisticated woman when she chopped off her hair.
Hayden Panettiere
Who could forget when Hayden cut off all her hair to a shorter look? She’s since grown it out, but she gave her short look a try for a while.
What do you think of their short locks? Love it or hate it?

3rd and last look better with the longer hair. I kind of only like it on Anne and Emma. But mostly Anne. I think you need a certain type of bone structure and facial features for it to work and not make you look too harsh, too old, or too young.

I think short hair works better on stronger jawlines like Rihanna’s.

I think longer hair pretty much always looks better than shorter hair.

Emma Watson did it because she said she couldn’t cut more than a couple of inches due to filming Harry Potter. To me, I see the logic of wanting to have a major cut after being contractually obligated of not cutting you hair beyond a certain length due to a role.
I think that Rihanna looks better with shorter hair. I’ve found that shorter hair (on some people, not everyone for various reasons) makes for a more fashion forward look.

I don’t like Emma’s short hair. She looks like a boy.

If Ginnifer Goodwin wants to rock a pixie cut, that’s the wrong style for her. She needs longer bangs or a cut that drops below the cheekbones to draw attention away from her forehead. Long hair works easily for her, the short cut is stretching it.
I did like Emma Watson’s bold cut though. It must have been refreshing after having that contract.

Anne and Rihanna look good. I still will be forever on the fence about Emma Watson’s pixie cut. Ginnifer and Hayden, better with long hair. Though I feel like Ginnifer’s haircut makes sense for her role currently on Once Upon a Time to contrast Mary Margret from Snow White.

Ginnifer and Hayden should’ve kept it long.

I understand why Emma did it, but I wish she’d grow her hair back long. She can pull off the pixie cut, but I think she looks ten times better with longer hair. Same with Anne; I know it’s for a role, but she does not look good with a pixie cut so as soon as she’s done filming, she should grow her hair back.
I like Ginnifer with either or & the other two I don’t care about, ha.

i liked all those girls better with their long hair.

I like pixies, but I couldn’t pull one off. And I think they tend to add a few years.

Sometimes I daydream about cutting my hair into a pixie on the spur of the moment, and then I remember how I cried last time I cut all my hair off. Get rid of my security blanket? Awful idea, for me. These women work them well, though.

The pixie is not a hairdo, it’s a hair-DON’T!

Hayden looks great with the pixie, but that’s about the only one. I have short hair but I don’t think I could handle THAT short.

@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - Agreed, although Anne Hathaway’s pixie cut doesn’t look that bad.
