The CW has released some stills from its upcoming show The Carrie Diaries, which follows a young Carrie Bradshaw (she of Sex and the City fame, in case that needed clarification) in her early years. Since the program takes place in the 80s, there are lots of eye-catching styles on Carrie, which shouldn’t be surprising for a character known for her already over-the-top 90s fashion sense. See some of the shots here!
The show’s costume director is certainly sticking to style themes of the 80s, with lots of neon colors, crazy prints and wild hair. Whether or not you like the show, it may be fun to watch a little bit of style nostalgia on TV each week! You can read more about the man behind Carrie’s wardrobe at the source. [via Fashionista]
What do you think of Carrie’s look? Will you watch The Carrie Diaries?

Whew. This girl’s got some tall heels to fill. I think the clothes are fun, but probably won’t be watching it because I am satisfied where Sex and the City the show, and movies left off. I don’t need more back story. I’m sure there will be some fans who’d want to watch it though.

Why can’t they just let Sex and the City just die already? What’s next her toddler years where she gives Suri Cruise a run for her high heel clad money?
