Mindy Kaling won the hearts of women everywhere with her role as Kelly Kapoor on The Office, and then with her hilarious memoir Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns). Now the lady world will be thrilled to hear that Kaling, who has written extensively for The Office, is getting her own show! Watch the trailer for it here.


The program is described as being about, “Mindy Lahiri, an OB/GYN who is successful at work, but less so at love. She adores romantic comedies and is on a constant quest for self-improvement.” It sounds as if Kaling is drawing inspiration from her Kelly character, but adding a more intelligent level to her.
