Some celebrities really are just like us. Kristen Stewart arrived at the premiere of her sure-to-be-hit new film Snow White And The Huntsman wearing a pair of Nike running shoes under her dress. Check out the pics of Kristen pulling a quick shoe-switcharoo in the bushes before the red carpet, below.
I can totally relate. I might enjoy dressing up now and then, but I can’t stand wearing heels any longer than it’s required of me. I think it’s safe to assume red carpet goddess-gowns aren’t exactly Kristen Stewart’s most natural fashion choice, but she plays the part well when she has to!
She completed the look in time for photos with her costars, and looked radiant in doing so. After she made her red carpet turns, got her picture taken and watched the show itself, she was quick to change back into her civilian clothes for the after-party.
Kristen Stewart gets points from me, not because I think all celebrities should be like this, but because she does fame on her own terms. She catches flack on occasion for looking bored at events, but I think she really just has measured patience for all the fanfare surrounding her career. She does what she needs to do, and takes the first chance to be herself again. Kudos to her for keeping her work and personal life in balance.
What do you think of Kristen’s quick switch from casual to formal… and back?

I was too busy being disturbed by her horrible dress to notice her shoes.

and i would do that, with the shoes, definitely.
i love her.

and on a completely random side note, what is that facial expression in the first picture?
as someone who suffers from unphotogenicity in candid shots, I can’t judge. but I do laugh.

Oh my god I hate that dress so much. It’s an all-consuming kind of hatred, filling me with rage and sadness. Seriously. That dress. Ugh.

THAT DRESS LOOKS LIKE ITS EATING HER ALIVE.

@emptyabyss@xanga - agreed!
that dress!…I wish I could focus on the shoes, but that dress is a tragedy. Wearing sneakers under full length dress…yeah whatever, lots of brides do it…but that dress looks like a spider is attacking her.

I’m with @WritingPassion@xanga and @KatieK. I can’t get past that first picture and what she is doing with her face and body. Its making me really uncomfortable just thinking about it.

That dress is just awful…it’s like she has just escaped from a werewolf attack! LMAO

At least with the sneakers, I could tell what sort of shoes she was wearing. I’ve seen a number of photos of this dress, and I have yet to see a clear shot of the shoes she changed into. As for the dress itself, I would have to give it a thumbs down. I’ve seen shots of the back, and it features a design of vertabrae and ribs. That might work for Cassandra Peterson (aka Elvira, Mistress Of The Dark), but I can’t see it working for anyone else.

I actually love the dress! She looks beautiful in it and I was very happy to see her wear Marchesa for the first time. As for the sneakers, why not? She’s human after all and ones she’s done her job I don’t see why she shouldn’t slip back into more comfortable footwear. In her defense, she did step on a nail 2 weeks ago while doing reshoots for Breaking Dawn, that’s why she changed so fast.
I don’t understand why people always have to pick on her facial expressions. Don’t act like you’ve never gotten your picture taken while talking, that’s clearly what happened in the first one. There are hundreds of flashes going off wherever she shows up, give the girl a break.

@WritingPassion@xanga - Same here. Haha.
I’m not a huge K-Stew fan. I decided a long time ago that she doesn’t actually act and is just herself in everything she’s in. Sometimes it works for her, sometimes it doesn’t.
Hey, at least she’s better than Nicholas Cage.
I also don’t think she looks bored. I think that is just her face…all the time. She has the same facial expression all the time.

@MyWinterBones@xanga - It’s still a funny face in the first one. I scrunch my face in half of my pictures, and it looks hilarious. I think most people are just pointing out that it’s a goofy picture.

I can understand the shoe change bit, but what I don’t understand is her dress..!! Makes her look like she’s been struck by the bubonic plague

I think she just knew no one’d notice her shoes with that dress on. Wow! What a tragic garment

Psh, I like the dress. I think it’s sexy. I’d wear it any day…. and I don’t blame her with the heels thing. Looks like she’d trip easier too, cause the dress is so long. Don’t wanna faceplant on the red carpet!

oh my god she looks weird

Changing shoes in the bushes is ALWAYS trashy.
At least do that shit in the car.

Hah, now I know why she never smiles.
