Growing up at the Jersey shore for a majority of my life, I’ve observed how each summer welcomes a new crop of tourists. Since MTV’s airing of their Jersey Shore reality show, many are flocking to the Seaside Heights’ beach, boardwalk, nightclubs and infamous house in search of the cast that put the area on the map three years ago. From their wild antics to late-night, fist pumping escapades, they have has definitely made a name for itself and the area.

There is lots of controversy surrounding the show’s major themes of womanizing, black-out partying and scantily-clad adventures, which is why I’m unsure of whether or not Pauly D’s new pregame cocktail REMIX, set to debut this summer, will be a hit or miss. It will be available in a variety of flavors, including Oye Mojito, Starfruit, Yeah Yumberry and Strawberry Holla-Peno, according to Foodbeast. But even with catchy names like those, I’m sure many will up in arms about him further promoting drinking.

By expanding his resume (even in the wake of Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s release from rehab), Pauly D is attempting to brand himself in yet another way. Keeping with the DJ vibe, I think his title is appropriate and ties into his professional identity really well, but promoting alcohol may not be his best bet if he wishes to remain in the limelight.

Since it’s ready-to-drink and perfect before going out, there is no need to buy mixers, sodas or juices to supplement your vodka splash.

I will definitely give it a try, but what are your thoughts on Pauly D’s REMIX?
