Nail armor is just crazy to me. This trend has been seen on celebs like Katy Perry, Lady GaGa and Beyonce, but I don’t get it. I mean, seriously, it just looks dangerous. The nail rings pictured above are pretty cool though, a little less dangerous looking and sort of fantastic with that nail color. I’m really into first knuckle rings right now, and I suppose this is just taking that concept a huge step further.
In the gallery are some examples of nail armor, but you can see more on buzzfeed
Would you wear any of these nail rings?

Stuff like this makes me cringe. It just reminds me of the bad ass full finger rings I used to drool over when I was an angst-ridden teenager I could never afford that were all gross, but now they’re cool!? Guess I’m just a hipster.

I kind of like the main photo (except it kind of looks like rings that are too small), but all the others are borderline dangerous.

Erm, maybe if I needed a letter opener.

Bizarre. I thought nails were protective on their own…

@prexskinny@xanga - err…why?

i only really like the ones that don’t completely cover the nail like the first and last pictures. i would contemplate wearing the last one on a ring finger to like, a harry potter get-together XD and the first one on a more casual basis.

some of these are rad! others, a bit much. but i’m weird…

Why? >_>They might fall off.. and look uncomfortable.

to protect nails from snapping off on its own accord when it grows longer. Jk… if you have long nails like the ancient Chinese Empress, you could use it to prevent long nails from snapping.

Oh, wonderful. More unnecessary, useless fashion trends. Put this one up there next to the “waist belt” and “peep-toe boots”.

Protect your cuticle! I have always like armor like this but it was most popular around the goth fashion area and not main stream, so this is interesting.

@misslei11@xanga - See that was something I thought too.. wouldn’t they just fall off? forget about texting or anything like that.

@immoral_sensei@xanga - Most people dont like ‘underground’ trends creeping into the mainstream…but i kind of don’t mind when its done right.

File this under “trends I will never try”. It makes no sense, and looks pretty uncomfortable.
