I always thought Katie was pretty & a good actress. It’s too bad she’s known for being Tom Cruise’s wife more than anything now. I still think their marriage is a stunt at times. It exploded at random then she was pregnant fast & then she didnt act as much. I think Tom cost her the role of Rachel in the The Dark Knight (although I think Maggie was fantastic!). 

I think she’s a really pretty girl even without makeup and maybe a good actress (i’ve never really watched anything she was in except like one episode of the kennedy’s which was a horrible series). However, she is an actress and part of getting roles and stuff is to get yourself out there, and well…the greys aren’t helping.

I think she looks amazing, seriously. She’s not a young thing anymore, she’s married and raising a daughter (regardless of who she’s married too). She looks better than me when I’m not all dolled up, and I’m 24. Katie’s got good genes for sure.

Wow, people. Way to be so superficial. It’s really unfortunate that people are so judgmental about how someone looks when they are just presenting themselves without fake additives to conform to what the rest of the world thinks is beautiful. Yes, Katie is showing signs of aging, but at least she has the audacity to show that off, shows she isn’t as insecure as most celebrities, and doesn’t feel the need to hide behind hair dye and layers of foundation. 

I guess kids add that extra gray to you. I am her age and I have one gray hair.

I think that she looks pretty damn good to not have any makeup on or her hair dyed.  I wish my skin complexion was good like that so I could run around without makeup.  She definitely seems to have put her acting career on the back burner to be wife and mom, while her husband continues on with his career (too bad he isn’t as exciting to watch on the big screen as he used to be in his Top Gun & Cocktail days), but a lot of women put their careers on hold once they settle down.  I know I would if I could, and I would run around with no makeup too!  I don’t have any grey hair yet (and probably never will since it doesn’t run on either side of my family) but if I did, I’d rock that shit too.

She looks exhausted. Then again, I would too if I had to deal with Tom Cruise everyday. 

it shows that she’s naturally beautiful, but I am just not at all surprised by it. You could see she has an attractive face before. People look different without make up and the hair just starts to grey from a certain age, even though that depends on genetics. That’s just what nature looks like.

She just looks really exhausted. Pretty, but exhausted. More than a 33-year-old usually looks, anyway.

She’s only 33. She looks like she just needs a break or a vacation. I think she looks fine, though the random strands bother me a little. Guess I will feel differently when I am her age though.

I agree with you on the tired thing, this poor woman looks like she’s been through hell. She just needs to get away from the shit she’s had to go through with crazy Tom Cruise/Scientology/Her daughter “dressing wrong”.

I really couldn’t say it was hot or not, though. This isn’t a hot vs not look. She just looks like a person to me. You can’t look hot until you do something different and involves some effort. This is just a normal person.

The grey hairs bug me, though. Probably because my hair’s looked like that since I was 18, and it’s just killing me. I’m fine with HAVING grey hair, I accepted it very young that I was going to have grey hair and before graduation it started popping out. I just hate this transition period, the grey hairs stick out so bad and are a different texture and just don’t look nice. And salt and pepper hair just looks horrible on long hiar, too.
I just want to skip to the grey hair look.

@Shinbi_Belldandy@xanga - haha Tom advised her to not take it saying it was going to flop.  She did the movie where she was stealing from the Treasury instead.  Whatever it was called.  But she is a great actress, I wish she’d do more stuff.

@ALovingAdversary@xanga - Tom is dumbshit. I’m not the type to talk about people but I think he’s messed up in the head. I bet that scientology has something to do with it. I find it odd he was married twice, his 2nd marriage being of a good length (though he was stupid to divorce Nicole. I bet he was jealous of her success) & he never had biological kids. I think they knew something was odd with him. Then he meets Katie & has this super showy romances, she gets pregnant & disappears.

I don’t think she looks as bad as some people make her out to be.  Her skin looks pretty even, except for the dark circles, and her hair is not thin or dirty–she’s probably wearing her hair in its natural texture.  I’m no makeup or hair expert, but I think a little combing and a dab of concealer would change the way people thought about this look.  She could use some rest, but I think she looks fine.
