I guess it’s who you know more than what you know.
Personally I no longer read 17 magazine. I mean i’m only 18, but usually there’s one or two really good article and then the rest of the magazine is stuff I already know, or don’t care about.

Wow, wouldn’t it be nice to be that well-connected. It doesn’t matter 2 shits what you know, it’s all about who you know, and that seems to be true for almost every area of business. Sometimes I wonder why I’m bothering to get my MBA when I should be out schmoozing and kissing important asses. That would probably be more likely to land me a kickass job.

they come from a family heavily invested in fashion– why wouldn’t they make proper contributors? sure they have connections, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be pants at what they do.
