I’ve wanted to be a mermaid since I was 5 years old! This would be awesome. It’s a little funny, but just yesterday one of my guy friends said I had mermaid hair. I told him that was the best compliment EVER.

I think they do that in Cali. I went to high school with a girl who does something like that now.

I wanted to be a real mermaid when I was 8-10 after watching The Little Mermaid haha. But dressing up like one, basically being a human Shamu, and performing the same acts for old tourists and little kids everyday, doesn’t really sound like a dream summer job to me. Those girls in the pictures also look like they hate their job.

I grew up in the next county over. When I was 3, I told my parents I wanted to be a mermaid..once I found out I couldn’t be a real one, I told them I’d settle for being a Weeki Watchee mermaid. Went there all the time! Nice to see a bit of nostalgia on here, thanks for the post!
