Thanks to Photoshop and people’s creativity, there is such a thing as awkward photos. What’s more awkward than awkward family photos? Awkward wedding photos! Check out these interesting wedding pics!
My wedding is next year, and I really hope that my photographer doesn’t try any of these photoshop tricks on my pictures. And I’ve already told my groom that we will not be doing anything extremely weird when being photographed. And hopefully my parents know not to make out in the background of my formal bridal picture.
I’m guessing the brides in the photos in the gallery weren’t so lucky. Take a peek at these very awkward wedding photos, and I’m sure you’ll laugh!
What do you think of these photos? Which ones are your favorites?

Why is every other post on Lovelyish suddenly wedding related?

My parents have on of the silhouette ones, but it’s actually pretty damn tasteful.

All of them have a varying degree of weirdness, that’s for sure. My favorite would have to be the couple in the cheer leading outfits. My only question is why in the world are they wearing them?

It’s too early for this.

@emptyabyss@xanga - Isn’t spring the wedding season in the States?
Some of these are just stuff certain cultures like. Every Russian wedding on the planet has a pic similar to the first. In Puerto Rico people do the gray pic with only one color item…. people are ridiculous all over…

The flowery dresses aren’t awkward…they are clearly homemade – props to the brides family for being frugal!

@MoonFaeEyryan@xanga - Wow, I have no idea. It’s getting tired of it already though.

Haha, those are completely awkward! When I get married I’m going to be sure and do a complete check of all my photographers past work and make sure he’s not a crazy like these.

All these pics have some degree of awkwardness, except the one with the bridal and her bridesmaids in floral dresses. Clearly, that isn’t the current style, but I don’t really think it is weird or awkward. At the time, that look was in.
@EmberCove - Thank goodness for the internet, it is easy to see a photographer’s past work. It is perfectly okay to have a consultation with a photographer and not hire him/her. The only problem with wedding vendor’s websites, is that they don’t normally post the complete price list. I suppose they want you to call and make an appointment so they can try to dazzle you with their personality.

WHY is that girl holding an apple? Is there a significance to apples?

@babybug329@xanga - Did you notice the floral dresses matched the curtains behind them though? That’s what’s really awkward/hilarious lol.
guest
@finding_shore@xanga - Hahaha, I didn’t notice the curtain. Maybe they were going for coordinating back drop? Nowadays brides often match bridesmaid dresses to napkins and chair sashes…so maybe some things haven’t changed much since the day that photo was taken.

Number 11 reminds me of a book cover from an erotic romance novel.

@SquidVicious@xanga - I think that’s what makes it so funny! “Hey Sweetie, let’s dress up as cheerleaders for our wedding!”
