What better way to enhance a Coachella staple than by adding a little leopard? RAAR!
Everyone’s got a few spare pairs of shorts laying around, so we took a walk on the wild side and made over the classic cut offs.
Try it yourself. Animal magnetism guaranteed!
How to: Leopard Print Short Shorts
You will need:
Shorts (we used a pair of the BCBGENERATION Jackson shorts)
X-Acto knife
Leopard print stencil, you can print one here
Fabric pen1. Print and cut out leopard stencil with an X-Acto knife.
2. Place a piece of cardboard inside your shorts to prevent them from moving/keep them on a flat surface. Trace the outlines of the leopard print with your fabric pen.
3. Fill in each traced leopard spot.

@daydreams_nightmares@xanga - I have a friend who did some sort of cool dip dye on her cut offs to make them fade from green to pink, then she dotted the pink part with seeds. Watermelon shorts! It looks so cute, but I have no idea how she did the colors. :/

i’d totally do that on like the back pocket, i don’t think i can pull off the whole front look.

That’s very time consuming. I just bought a pair of all over leopard print shorts for 20 bucks from Rue21.

it’s a good idea (the fading dye thing) – I might look it up, thanks!

as for someone who likes cutout delicate and meticulous shapes from cardstock.. this is awfully time consuming. you are better off free handing it. just make a bunch of weird shaped U’s, L’s, I’s and Y’s bunched together..
