While Krysten Ritter isn’t a “new” face necessarily — you might remember her from Veronica Mars, Breaking Bad, a short-lived spinoff of Gossip Girl and She’s Out Of My League (can you tell I’m a fan?) — she has been hitting a few more red carpets lately, and catching our eyes with her fashion choices. Most recently she’s been out promoting her newest series Don’t Trust The B In Apartment 23 (premiering tonight on ABC), and while I’ll be interested to see if that show dies quickly or slowly, it’s clear that Krysten’s style focus is on point. 


I had the pleasure of meeting Krysten at an event here in Austin a few years ago, and if the few hours I was around her are any indication, she’s a down-to-earth girl who happens to be blessed with very uncommon looks. Although if I had to put my finger on it, she looks like a mashup of Rooney Mara and Winona Ryder… with a little Anne Hathaway mixed in. Not a bad combo, regardless. I like her style because she definitely values high-fashion, but likes to play with silhouettes and accessories. I think I like her the most because she’s just a little bit awkward. She’s not afraid to be un-sexy, but can definitely turn up the volume when it’s necessary. I appreciate her versatility and attention to detail, and I look forward to seeing more from her in the future.
