Lol, I don’t know why I am amused by this. I will admit though, I’ve always liked Amanda. And I will admit to actually enjoying the movies she’s been in, even the ones that really aren’t that great. Something about her personality (either the one she puts on for the characters or her real personality seeping through) is just so entertaining to me. But uh, girl needs to lay off the bronzer. Or get a better foundation. 

Instantly, I thought … “Amanda, Amanda, Amanda, The Amanda Shoooow!” when I saw this head-line.

But, to stay on topic, I like Amanda Bynes. I always enjoyed her movies and shows. Hopefully, this incident doesn’t take her down a wrong path.

Is a cab/driver hella expensive in Hollywood or something?  I don’t get it.  You know you are going to be drinking, hire a driver for the night.  It is cheaper than getting arrested and paying your way out of a DUI.

I don’t understand what happens to all these young stars. o_0 Is it that we just know too much about their lives and that they’re actually normal people whose failures are made public?

any old regular joe does something like that and it’s not a big deal. but oh shit, a famous person does it, and it’s a big deal. society is fucked.

I never liked her. All That! was/is awesome because it centered around several young entertaining youths. I can’t help but feel that when she joined the show, the spotlight shown more on her than anyone else. Also, I don’t think she’s funny. Never did

Does anyone else notice the HORRIBLE plastic surgery?? She was so much prettier before. 

Sad.  Hope her parents get her help, and fast.  Of course, what is she going to do with her life?  Don’t know that she has any post-secondary education.  Perhaps not many adult female leads for her.  Kinda sounds like she is rebelling.  Or living that youthful-destructive lifestyle. 

Okay, so… $5,000… I imagine that’s change to her, so, pay the bail and go on with your life.

But I am disappointed in her.

Is she trying to get attention again? I know she was away from the limelight for a good number of years but this is the not the way to do it lol. I hope she learns from this and her career picks up. I still like her as an actress and am shocked this happened to her.

Wow, people are jumping to conclusions quickly. Yes, it was dumb and reckless of her to drive drunk, however, isn’t this her only major problem? I haven’t heard of her getting into trouble before. We have no reason to believe that she’s on any path. She made a mistake. Hopefully she learns from it and calls a cab next time. Until we have reason to see otherwise though, a lot of these comments are currently uncalled for. She was of age to be drinking. I haven’t heard of her trying to get out of trouble for breaking the law and driving drunk. I haven’t heard that she was under the influence of illegal drugs. No reason to believe she’ll be the next Lindsay.

@rafi09@xanga - i agree. i read this post and had to read the article because people seemed to be so disappointed in her, but there wasn’t any horrible information. the only conclusion i came to from that article was, ok she went out, had an extra drink or two and shouldn’t have been driving. it happens. she’s human. unless she was soooo wasted and was on some other hard drugs, i wouldn’t say she’s on the wrong path OR even compare her to Lindsay Lohan.

also, why did they even have to mention her height and weight? what did it have to do with anything? the article was so stupid. it just made her look bad.

I used to watch the Amanda Show, but what I really remember is being young (a preteen) and her being the very first celebrity/person I knew of that had an eating disorder.

I was hoping she would be okay. I think it’s really hard for young celebs to stay grounded. They have so much money and too many people fawning over them that reality is hard to find sometimes.
