There are many reasons people go to their high school reunions. In some cases, it’s a morbid curiosity about how some people turned out. In others, it’s simply a chance to catch up with forgotten high school friends. Or in a few TV movies I’ve seen, it’s a chance to flaunt your success and looks to the less fortunate.
Personally, this Cracked.com article sums up why I will never go to a high school reunion: 6 Reasons High School Reunions Shouldn’t Exist.
How about you: are you going to go to your high school reunion? Or if it’s already passed, did you go?

I didn’t go to mine. Everyone in my class is already friends with each other on Facebook so there isn’t really a need to catch up.

No, I hated my high school, I busted my rear off as class President making them an awesome prom, and they still were giant assholes to me and I’m glad to see they’ve all become pathetic failures. Actually I might go, just to rub in my success.

No, I didn’t go to my 10 year reunion. I wanted to (kind of), but it just ended up to be a group of people meeting in some dive bar. So, I decided not to go. I still talk to many of my classmates since the invention of social networks, it is not difficult to keep in contact. And some of my good friends are people I’ve known since middle/high school. I saw someone posted pics post reunion, I was glad I didn’t go. Mostly people I didn’t want to see, or didn’t know, went.

Nope. I’m still friends with only one girl from my graduating class and I didn’t have other friends beside her. I have no interest or desire to talk to anyone from there. She, too, is also not planning on going to a reunion. We hated our class and we hated our high school experiences lol.
Heck, I don’t think I’m even going to go to my college’s reunions.

No. I’m not in touch with anyone from my high school. They spent five years bullying me, and I no longer have anything to do with them. They’re blocked from my Facebook and we haven’t spoken since I left – why would I want to pay to go to a reunion and see them?!

I really wouldn’t have an interest in going to mine. Why would I? The only people I ever talked to from my graduating class didn’t even go to the school full time and didn’t technically graduate from my school since they weren’t full time students. And knowing them, they probably wouldn’t show up either. Doesn’t sound like much fun to me.

I can’t wait to go to mine. I’m sure I’ll live to regret those words, but I’m super excited. I loved my high school.

Yup. I really want to see if anyone else pulled themselves out of the hole that was my hometown and up to something greater.

Hell no. Fuck dem bitches, I didn’t like them then why the fuck would I take time out of my life to see what failures they’ve all become?

I would love to. I’m so nosey, hahaha. But I really don’t think we have them around here.. Maybe it’s small town small provience, or maybe it’s not really a Canadian thing? I have no idea.

If I have a job and I’m the same weight I was then.

I was bullied and picked on in high school. let alone, part of the reject. Boy, I cannot wait to show up to my 10 year to show them how much I’ve changed. And make them sorry for treating me like shit those years…

Nah no thanks that’s what facebook is for. Besides I currently live in another country and I don’t think it’s worth the plane ticket money to go heheh lol

It will be my 40th reunion, and my weight is exactly the same as it was then. Slight crows feet, but no gray hair. My point in all of this is, regardless of what I look like, I couldn’t stand most of those people then, so why would I pony up good cash to attend events to see them again? They always call, and just ooze niceness trying to get me to come, but gosh dangit, I can’t stand them. Ten years ago the gal that called me was looking for a friend of mine to call, and didn’t even know my dear friend had drowned at the age of 19! Yeah, they really know us, don’t they?

LOL NO.

My class was pretty close but a lot of us have fallen out of touch. We were planning on having a 5 year reunion but our class president moved back to India to conquer the energy market (not even exaggerating there lol…). I met up with a few old friends on St Patrick’s Day because a friend who was a foreign exchange student senior year came back to America. It was nice and now Im looking forward to a ten year reunion =D

LOL, no.

nope. except for 5 close friends, i honestly didn’t like my high school classmates.

If I’m still in the area, I don’t see why not.

Fuck no. I don’t think our school does reunions, thank god. I’m happy as a bunny not to see most people from school anymore. I only liked a handful of people, the rest were cunts.

facebook will take all the fun out of my highschool reunion. my old high school peers have me added, so they will know what my real life is like even in 15 years. so there will be no way to hire a gorgeous escort to pretend to be my wife, and no way to convince people that after i double majored in physics and russian, i moved to russia and became a cosmonaut….
sigh.
