The Kardashian family is known for having each others backs no matter what so it didn’t come as a huge shock when the youngest of the three sisters, Khloé Kardashian Odom, made a statement to defend older sister Kim and publicly relinquish her support of the mega animal rights organization, PETA.
It seems like everyone has something to say regarding the incident that occurred last week at the London West Hollywood hotel when the now identified attacker named Christina Cho doused Kim with a bag of flour on the red carpet at the launch party of her new fragrance, True Reflection, which also served as a benefit for Dress for Success.

Many people (mother Kris Jenner being the most vocal) were proud of Kim for her poise and composed reaction to the attack; she returned to the red carpet just minutes after the incident with a smile on her face and ready to continue interacting with press. However, Khloé wants it to be known that she is not dismissing the powdered assault quite yet.

Khloé has been an extremely public supporter of PETA for several years now and even has posed nude for the organization’s celebrity anti-fur ad back in 2008. Khloé’s PETA shoot was featured in an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians that year and even shows an L.A. PETA official named Michelle Cho putting together the shoot and conversing with Khloé about it. Now this is where the powdery pieces of the puzzle come together.

The same Michelle Cho, who coordinated Khloé’s nude PETA PSA, is the sister of Christina Cho, the animal rights activist who flour bombed Khloé’s sister last week. PETA has past referred to Christina as a “superstar activist” and even presented her with an award in 2010 for her activism. Clearly, PETA and Christina Cho are connected, to say the least.

Khloé takes to her personal blog & twitter by saying “I am absolutely disgusted by their (PETA’s) behavior.” & “I will still continue to NOT wear fur, but I will no longer support PETA. Bullying and harassment is NEVER a solution, and I won’t be a part of any organization that thinks otherwise.”

Various sources are saying that Christina’s floury feat was done without the knowledge OR sanctioning of sister Michelle or PETA. In a statement to E! News, PETA says: “We are very fond of Christina. She is a very kind, wonderful volunteer who is deeply moved by cruelty to animals.” The organization has also promised to take care of any legal expenses caused by Christina as a result of this incident.
Khloé has always been highly vocal when it comes to her stance on anti-bullying so I don’t see her budging on this issue anytime soon.
What do you guys think of Khloé’s actions against PETA? What would you do if you were in her position?

Good on her, regardless on where you stand on animal rights, PETA makes them look really, really bad.

So Khloe’s part of PETA, and it’s ok for Kim to wear fur but not ok for PETA to take a stand against it. If my sister killed my cat, I’d slit her throat.

Yes it’s completely ok for Kim to wear fur, she is not harassing nor is she physically abusing anyone. Unlike the PETA activist who did both. Just goes to show how misguided and bad PETA really is.
Can’t stand PETA and secretly loving my fur lined leather gloves for winter. What right do they have attacking people based on what they wear as clothing.

I don’t blame Khloe for quitting PETA after this incident. Yes, Khloe is anti-fur, but she can’t control what her sister does (or wears). It is not against the law to wear fur clothing, but it is unlawful to assault others. I understand Ms. Cho’s cause, but this was not an effective way to try to convince others not to wear fur. She is better off educating others on how animals are raised for their pelts, how it is manufactured, what it does to the environment and help people seek suitable and humane fur substitutes.

Yeah, I’d quit. I’d be pretty pist off if someone attacked my sister w/ flour.

PETA makes animal rights activist look like jokes. I can’t believe Khloe couldn’t see them for what they are before they attacked her sister.

I would quit too, but I wouldn’t be a part of PETA anyway. I abhor cruelty to animals, but I also abhor PETA’s ridiculous and extreme tactics. They make their cause into a freak show. You can get things accomplished and raise awareness without acting like an insane person. Plus my parents are (humane) farmers, so I could never support an organization that’s against all forms of animal agriculture.

I’m confused. What does the sister of a woman who works at PETA have to do with PETA? PETA said they allegedly had nothing to do with it..and it was one girl’s agenda that caused the ruckus, is that not correct?
If that’s the case, you can’t generalize an individual’s behavior to a whole organization. (Now if PETA is rubbish for other reasons, that’s besides the point here).

@animechrisy@xanga - that’s a good question- it gets confusing. Michelle Cho is an LA based PETA activist that reached out to Khloe to get her to do the nude anti-fur campaign back in ’08. She was seen all over Keeping Up With the Kardashians on that episode where Khloe contemplates doing the shoot, meeting with PETA, & then going forward with it.
Michelle Cho is the sister of Christina Cho, the “flour-bomber”. PETA has dedicated awards to Christina Cho in the past few years for being a “superstar activist” & continues to further compliment her character in the present day.
Normally, I’d totally say it’s not fair to judge an organization based on the actions of one individual, however PETA is no stranger to these types of pubic attacks, whether it be flour or red paint that is being used.
PETA claims that they did not specifically instruct Christina to flour-bomb Kim, however they are taking 100% financial accountability for any damage Christina caused legally, which has to make you wonder; why would they foot the bill if they had absolutely no involvement?
Appreciate all of your feedback!

Didn’t she realize they were terrorists when she signed up with them? LOL

PETA just seems to be going downhill. I’m all for protecting animals and everything, but I don’t think they’re doing a very good job.

I thought PETA threw flour on everybody.
