Sarah Jessica Parker weighed in on whether or not SATC 3 might be hitting the screens “in the next year or so.”
That jibes with what SJP told 24 Frames last year… that she want to wait “five years” or so before making another sequel:
“I would go back,” said Parker, speaking to 24 Frames on the New York set of her new movie, the working-woman comedy “I Don’t Know How She Does It.” “I think there’s one more story to tell. I know there is.” …“I’d definitely tell that [third] story, and I know Michael would do it right. But maybe not now. Maybe in five years, you know?” she said.
Kristin Davis weighed in recently as well… she told Anderson Cooper recently that she wanted to make a trilogy out of it.
It’s been a couple of years since “Sex and the City 2″ hit theaters, and Kristin Davis is ready to jump back into Charlotte’s wardrobe and make a trilogy out of it. On “Anderson” (Weekdays, Syndicated) she said, “It’s the best job I’ve ever had” of her experience doing the show and its spin-off movies over the last fifteen years.
It sounds like it’s going to be a while. In the meantime, SATC fans can always check out The Carrie Diaries: a new TV prequel that follows Carrie in her high school years. It’s due to premiere this fall on the CW.
Would you watch a Sex And The City 3? And can you think of a plot that could redeem the critically slammed Sex And The City 2? (15% on Rotten Tomatoes!)

Although I think the first movie was the best, I didnt think the 2nd one was bad. It addressed many things middle age women go though like motherhood issues, settling in marriage & potential straying (even though she didnt mean to). The show will always be the greatest but I dont think a 3rd movie should be ruled out.

I loved the first movie but I never saw the second because I heard it was really awful :-/ so I’m not really bothered about a third one. I think some things should just be left alone though, lol.

I am bias because I love SATC and I wish they had never stopped running the show. I think it was cancelled but then once it came out on dvd, it became popular since it was uncensored, which the dvd version totally trumps the tv version so it’s not surprising that it only became popular once it was released on dvd. I wish they would start it up again, but these ladies aren’t getting any younger so they might not want to wait too long.

Ugh, no thank-you. I just can’t get down with the SATC thing. I’ve tried…I just can’t seem to relate all that well.
